Backdoor vs Roger
Tom Davis: “Ladies and Gentlemen, the next match is set for one fall! Introducing first, hailing from Weberville, Texas. He stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs in at 231lbs. ROGER WRIGHT!!!”
The rhythmic beating of drums pounds through the arena as Hallelujah Goat by Volbeat plays. Out from the back walks Roger Wright just as the first verse of the song begins. Wearing his traditional ring gear, Roger pulls in a deep breath and makes his way to the ring, slapping hands with the fans as he makes a full circle around the ring before using the steps and climbing up to the apron. Stepping through the middle rope, Roger enters the middle of the ring and works out the muscles in his arm and body as he waits for his opponent or the beginning of the match.
Jill Matthews: “Roger Wright is coming off of a huge win at Justice 5. We’ll have to see if he can keep it going. I think this could be the start of Roger Wright’s return to the top of the NEW.”
Vince Walters: “He got lucky! Roger Wright is a choke artist. Its what he does best!”
Tom Davis: “And introducing next, hailing from Venice Beach, California. He stands 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs in at 220lbs.
Strobe lights start to go off as "Ready to Die" by Andrew WK hits the PA. From behind the curtain emerges Bobby Backdoor to a mixed reaction from the crowd. He's wearing a silver shimmery hoody along with his silver wrestling tights and trademark bandana. Bobby stops at the edge of the stage area and poses to the crowd, soaking in the boos, while at the same time acknowledging the few fans of his that still exist. Bobby slowly makes his way toward the ring and slides in, posing for the crowd once more in the center of the ring.
Jill Matthews: “Ugh. Yet another creepy guy... and his attack on United was completely unprovoked!”
Vince Walters: “Oh come on! Its all good fun to beat up on United!”
The bell rings and both men walk out of their corners but Roger Wright breaks into a sprint and tries for a clothesline but Bobby Backdoor ducks and as Roger turns back to face Backdoor, he gets nailed with an elbow to the jaw from Bobby Backdoor, before the man boots Roger Wright in the gut and plants him with a DDT, getting to his feet as he basks in the boos from the crowd.
Jill Matthews: “Well.. sadly, whether you like or dislike his shenanigans out of the ring, Bobby Backdoor is a skilled competitor.”
Vince Walters: “Hey Jill.. did you and he ever work together in you *old* job?”
Jill Matthews: “Ugh, no! He did gay porn. Guy on guy? Do I look like a guy to you?”
Vince Walters: “Alright... win any AVN awards?”
Jill Matthews: “This has nothing to do with the match but... yes I did.”
While the argument goes on between the announce crew, Bobby Backdoor locks on a Boston Crab on Roger Wright and sits down deep as Roger Wright crawls and finally reaches the ropes. Bobby Backdoor holds on til a 4 count before breaking the hold and driving the boot into the small of the back of Roger Wright, dragging the man to his feet and nailing him with a couple of European uppercuts, knocking Roger Wright back into the ropes, measuring the the man before jumping up and nailing a picture perfect dropkick that sends Roger Wright tumbling over to the ropes and to the floor hard.
Jill Matthews: “Wow! Smart work by Bobby Backdoor, moving from the Boston crab to the boots to the back to knocking Roger out of the ring with a beautiful dropkick! Roger Wright is favoring his back a bit!”
Vince Walters: “Don’t forget, he calls that Boston crab ‘I Got crabs”
Jill Matthews: “Sounds like a personal hygiene issue there, Vince.”
Vince Walters: “Huh? Ohhh... son of a...”
Bobby Backdoor watches Roger Wright get to his feet, and takes off, rebounding off the ropes and dives through the ropes, nailing Roger Wright and sending the man back first into the guardrail, nailing him with a flurry of elbow strikes, ending with a spinning backfist that Roger ducks, booting Bobby Backdoor in the gut, before hitting an overhead belly to back release suplex, leaving both men down as the ref counts.
Jill Matthews: “Wow! Roger Wright isn’t done yet, he’s fighting back, trying to get back into things!”
Vince Walters: “Too little, too late. Story of Roger’s life.”
Both men get to their feet and get back into the ring as the crowd rallies behind Roger Wright and ‘Let’s go Roger!” chants break out. Both men get to their feet in the ring and bring the crowd to their feet, meeting in the middle of the ring, trading punches, cut off short when Bobby Backdoor kicks Roger Wright in the gut and tries for a DDT but Roger Wright grabs him and counters with a fisherman’s suplex, going for the cover but Bobby Backdoor kicks out at 2.
Jill Matthews: “Close call there! Roger Wright almost had the match won!!”
Vince Walters: “Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, Jill.”
Roger Wright sighs and drags Bobby Backdoor to his feet, lifting the man up and plants him back first across his knee, bringing a cheer from the crowd as Roger rebounds off the ropes and drops an elbow right on the small of Bobby Backdoor’s back, going for a pi but Bobby rapidly counters with a small package, but Roger is able to kick out at 2.
Jill Matthews: “This match is getting good. I gotta say as much as I don’t like him, Bobby Backdoor is giving Roger Wright a fight.”
Vince Walters: “He’s toying with him. Just watch.”
Both men pull themselves up to their feet, Bobby charges and throws a punch, Roger tries for a hip toss but Bobby lands on his feet and tries for a hip toss. Roger blocks and tries for a clothesline but Bobby ducks and jumps up, kicking Roger in back of the head. Roger runs with the kick and rebounds off the ropes and tries for a dropkick, but Bobby counters with a power bomb and turns over, locking in the Boston Crab, cinching back on the hold. Roger Wright fights and tries to get to the ropes as the ref checks for the submission. Bobby lets him get almost to the ropes and drags Roger back into the middle of the ring and sits down deep causing Roger to cry out in pain and tap out.
Jill Matthews: “Submission! Bobby Backdoor wins?”
Vince Walter: “HA! Told you!”
Tom Davis: “Ladies and Gentlemen, the winner, by submission, BOBBY BACKDOOR!!!
Bobby shakes his head at the downed Roger Wright and doesn't even let the ref raise his arm in victory he just walks out of the ring and up the ramp to the back.
