As we cut in live to another edition of Ignite live on Showtime from Portland we see backstage where Andy is literally unplugging a bathroom stall with a t shirt on that reads I like men on. He has already thrown up into the stall multiple times. This obviously just the beginning of his punishment for turning his back on the owner of the company. We then cut from there to live inside the arena where Jill Mathews and Vince Walters are standing by to call tonight's action.
Jill Mathews: Poor Andy...
Vince Walters: Little bastard gets what he deserves.
Jill Mathews: Well in any event welcome ladies and gentlemen to Ignite 159 where tonight we will see a NEW title rematch in the main event between the champ Matt Slater and former champ Hunter Valentyne with Nocturnal as the special ref.
Vince Walters: That's right and tonight that strap comes back home where it belongs to the Styles Mafia.
Jill Mathews: We shall see they had such a close match at Justice an epic encounter there obviously had to be a rematch and toss in Nocturnal who gets a shot next week being the special ref it's very interesting.
Vince Walters: He hates both Matt and Hunter so I don't know what to think about him being the special ref.
Jill Mathews: Maybe he will just call it down the middle then?
Vince Walters: Very doubtful.
Jill Mathews: Well we got a jam packed card as always including the main event we spoke about so let's get to the opening bout eh Vince.
Vince Walters: Yeah let's get the ass kicking's underway!
Ares Metaxas vs. Johnathan Mills
Jill Matthews: Well our very first match of the night should prove to be quite a contest. You have recently signed Ares Metaxas who will be trying to rebound from a loss in his very first match in New Edge. And he’ll be taking on Johnathan Mills, who has returned from a short hiatus.
Vince Walters: That Metaxas guy is bad news. He broke a Cab Driver’s nose, Jill! Poor, poor bastard got his nose broken for asking about the fair!
Jill Matthews: Definitely an imposing human being is this Ares Metaxas. But let’s not count his opponent out just yet, Vince! He’s got a lot riding on this!
Both competitors are standing in the ring. Mills’ looking determined to do right by the recent passing of his Mother, while on the other hand.. Ares’ just looked like he was out to inflict some pain on his opponent. The bell sounds as they meet in the center of the ring, exchanging fists with one another. Metaxas, clearly being the bigger of the two and more powerful, starts to back Mills into the nearest corner. The official tries to get in between them to give Mills some air, but Metaxas shoves him away and goes right back to the assault.
Vince Walters: I’m not sure the ref wants to get in between that guy and his opponent, Jill! That’s like taking raw meat away from a damn lion!
Jill Matthews: The referee still has a job to do, Vince! And on top of...OH MY GOD, LOOK AT THE DISPLAY OF STRENGTH!
Vince Walters: Air mail!
During their exchange of words, Ares had grabbed Mills by his arm in an a hip toss like fashioned and hurled him halfway across the ring, causing Johnathan to crash into the mat hard. With the crowd on hand gasping in shock. Ares stalks his foe, stomping him to the small of his back a couple times before picking him up. He hoists Mills’ up high above his head and walks around the ring for a couple moments, before driving him to the canvas with a thud. This is followed by a rather smug one footed pin attempt.

KICKOUT!
Jill Matthews: Ares Metaxas showing us early on that he’s definitely the stronger of our two competitors, Vince.
Vince Walters: Blah blah blah, the guy needs to pull his head out of his overly muscular ass and make a better pin attempt! That isn’t going to get the job done in New Edge! Lateral press, Ares! Lateral fucking press!
Jill Matthews: Does your job description include being an arrogant prick during every match, or does that come naturally?
Vince Walters: I’m all natural, baby! Just like your...
Jill Matthews: Don’t finish that sentence!
Metaxas looks slightly irritated that he didn’t get the three count, so he’s right back to work on Mills. Stomping him in the midsection a few times before bringing him back to his feet. Ares, having been pleased with his performance thus far, starts mouthing off to Mills while having a firm grip around his throat. The ref starts the five count and when he reaches four, Metaxas releases as Mills falls to one knee. This causes the big man to grin arrogantly as he delivers a boot to the head of Johnathan before helping him back up. He slings Mills into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Mills ducks him and bounces back. Roaring off the ropes, he leaps into the air and goes for a bulldog lariat, which brings the much large Metaxas to the canvas for the first time in the match. This gets a smattering of applause from the crowd as Mills now finds himself in control.
Jill Matthews: And just like that the tides have shifted, Vince! Metaxas looked strong in the early going, but with one move, Mills is now in the driver seat!
Vince Walters: That might be, but look at the man who refers to himself as the “God of War”, Jill! He doesn’t look very happy that he just got shown up!
And Vince was spot on in the respect. Metaxas’ frustration was evident on his face as he quickly got back to a knee. Mills, now with the momentum, didn’t want to let Ares regain control so he delivered a boot to the face of Metaxas, causing him to become dazed but remain on wounded knee. Mills ran off the ropes and executed a dropkick to the face of a prone Ares and this did bring him back down to the mat. With Ares temporarily out of commission, Mills turned his attention to the corner. He jogs over to it and quickly ascends the top rope, now peering down on his opponent. Without any further hesitation, Mills jumps off and lands on Ares with a CORKSCREW SOMERSAULT SPLASH! He immediately goes for the cover.
Vince Walters: High flying, death defying!
Jill Matthews: Let’s see if it’s enough to keep the big man down!

NO! ARES BENCH PRESSED MILLS OFF OF HIM!
Jill Matthews: There’s that impressive strength again, Vince!
Vince Walters: Yawn...
Jill Matthews: Typical response.
Vince Walters: (Under his breath) Ice Princess..
Jill Matthews: You say something?
Vince Walters: Anyway! Back to the action!
Mills, unsure of what to do to put Metaxas down now, signals for the end to come. He picks Ares up, who’s still somewhat dazed from the aerial move that was just executed on him. He wraps his arm around the neck of Metaxas and points to the turnbuckle across the ring from them. He starts to run toward it, still hanging onto his opponent. He steps scales up it and flips over the back of Ares Metaxas, attempting his finisher known as “Blaze of Glory”. However, using his strength once more, Ares manages to counter by shrugging Mills off in mid rotation. Johnathan lands on his feet a short distance from Ares, only to become the victim of a huge BIG BOOT TO HIS FACE, which throws him for a loop.
Vince Walters: Holy shit, did you see that kick?! I think I saw a tooth go flying into the third row, Jill!
Jill Matthews: Ares Metaxas, by all rights, has just decapitated his opponent! And what’s he got in mind now... ?
Ares, not satisfied with his limp opponent, he picks Mills up and places his head between his legs, facing down. Metaxas takes a moment or two to gauge the crowd’s reaction before flipping Mills up onto his shoulders, then driving him down to the mat with his patented OMEGA BOMB!
Vince Walters: Omega Bomb! That’s all she wrote!
Jill Matthews: There’s the cover..

!!!!!!
Tom Davis: Your winner via pinfall...The God of War, Ares Metaxas!!!
Jill Matthews: And Ares Metaxas picks up the victory with a rather impressive showing, but take nothing away from Mills! He certainly put up a fight!
Vince Walters: Look at you, always trying to play Switzerland.. It’s okay, say it with me.. Mills got owned...Come on, say it...
Jill Matthews: It’s going to be a long night...
“Calm like a Bomb” plays as Metaxas takes a moment to stand over his fallen opponent before celebrating his victory briefly. He then heads backstage, leaving Johnathan Mills’ broken body in his wake.
