Sasha Foote had been outside of Jesse Styles' office, tweeting away until the boss instructed her to enter his office to begin their negotiations for a full time contract for the fiery, spoiled diva in New Edge.
Sasha walks into the office, without knocking. She stares across the room at her boss, Jesse Styles. Styles is dressed in a pair of jeans, an all white pair of Nikes and is wearing a white wife beater. Sasha stares at him confidently.
Sasha Foote: Well, aren't you just dressed super professionally for our meeting? I wish I could come to work like that.
Jesse Styles: You come to the ring, your work, barefoot. Don't talk to me about coming to work dressed a certain way. You want to be comfortable, so do I. Besides, this is my office.
Jesse walks over behind his desk and takes a seat in his big, plush, chair and points to the chair in front of his desk.
Jesse Styles: Please, take a seat Miss Foote. And for the love of God, turn your phone off. I don't need you tweeting every detail from our meeting. Understood?
Sasha struts over to the chair and takes a seat, rolling her eyes, obviously not pleased with the way her boss is talking to her.
Sasha Foote: Phone is off. But just so you don't get ahead of yourself, I'm not a child. You don't have to lecture me. I know how to be professional in a business meeting. The question is, are you even going to give me an offer that I won't laugh at?
Jesse shifts in his chair, staring at the blonde in front of him. His cheeks sink in and out as he thinks things over.
Jesse Styles: You realize that you haven't done a single thing to warrant me signing you to a full time contract don't you? IF I sign you today, the risk I'm taking is astronomical. I have everything to lose.
Sasha Foote: And everything to gain. Who else has gotten people talking as quickly as I have? I bring attention to New Edge, I have people clamoring to come here just to get a piece of me. What they don't realize is, they're biting off more than they can chew because I'm more than just a pretty face. I'm pretty and I break faces.
Sasha smiles, proud of herself at the points she's made. Jesse just shakes his head.
Jesse Styles: And if Al Envy really does end your career in your first match, then I made myself look like a fool for allowing you to publicly leverage this meeting on social media in the first place.
Jesse leans in, placing his elbows on the desk as Sasha's eyes lock in on her boss, unpleased at his last statement.
Jesse Styles: You came onto the scene bragging about knocking men out. And th-
Sasha interrupts her boss, talking over him.
Sasha Foote: And I CAN and WILL knock them out. That's a promise I plan on keeping. But, I'm sure you realized that when I knocked your brother out. Or wasn't that a wake up call? Sorry, a put to sleep call.
Sasha again smiles, her pink lip gloss shining as the light creeps in through the window in Jesse's office. Jesse doesn't look pleased.
Jesse Styles: I would watch what you brag about Miss Foote, karma has an ugly way of coming back to bite you on the ass. What I was saying before you interrupted me was in one breath you were talking about knocking men out and having no fear, and the next, when I mentioned having a plastic surgeon travel with me due to the risks of every single match in our business, especially a no holds barred match, you seemed to back down. You openly complained about the risks of messing up your face. Look at you...
Jesse smirks.
Jesse Styles: Your pink lips. Your pink nails. Pink eye shadow. Those lips could be cracked open against Al Envy. Those nails could be ripped from your ringers and those eyes could be swollen shut. Its a realistic risk, and if you want a full time contract not only do you have to accept those risks, you have to embrace them. I won't have a little girl with a big mouth on my roster who backs down when the pressure is on. If you're going to talk tough, you're going to back it up. Is that understood?
The normally confident Foote looks down, avoiding eye contact now as she seems deep in thought. She places her hands on the desk in front of her, looking at her nails. She reaches up and slowly rubs her lips, taking in every word spoken by Styles.
Sasha Foote: I...need this job. I need the financial stability. I cant believe I'm about to tell you this, but...here goes.
Sasha inhales deeply, releasing her breath before continuing.
Sasha Foote: Right now, back in Detroit my parents are raising a child while I work on pursuing my dream. They're raising a little four year old girl named Brittany Noelle Foote. She's my daughter. I thought an ex boyfriend was the one for me, but as soon as I got pregnant, he left. At 18, I gave birth to Brittany. 3 months later, I had my first kickboxing match and my motivation was my daughter.
Sasha brushes the blonde hair out of her face, tucking it behind her ears. The usually arrogant young woman now has a serious look, a sincere one on her face.
Sasha Foote: I want to give my daughter a better life than I had growing up. That's why I want a full time contract. I'd love to be able to bring her to Chicago to visit me, but right now, I can't afford it. So...I'm swallowing my pride and asking you to please consider giving me a full time contract. I promise it will be worth it. I'll bust my ass to help make New Edge the best company it can be.
Jesse rubs his cheek as he looks at Sasha.
Jesse Styles: I love your drive, not a fan of your attitude. I think if you learn how to channel that energy and aggression into something positive instead of picking fights you would be better off. But I have a heart, I'll tell you what. I'll have my people draw up a contract. The contract will be for 1 year and will be valued at...
He pauses, building the suspense up.
Jesse Styles: $450,000. How does that sound?
Sasha's eyes shoot open. She's in disbelief. This is life changing and she knows it. She fights back tears, rubbing her eyes to keep up her tough exterior, refusing to cry in front of him.
Sasha Foote: That sounds amazing. I can't thank you enough right now.
Jesse Styles: You can thank me in the ring. I want to see that fire you have on social media in the ring. But for today, as soon as the contract is printed out and you sign, you'll be put to work.
Sasha Foote: I will?
Sasha glanced at Jesse quizzically.
Jesse Styles: You will Miss Foote. Today, sorry, tonight, you will be doing your first ever photoshoot for New Edge. You have 3P's you brag about, one of them being Pretty. Well, I agree. And I think our fans will enjoy a photoshoot on our website featuring our newest talent. Be at wardrobe and makeup at 6 tonight. The shoot is at 8:30.
Jesse stands up, prompting Sasha to as well. He points to the door.
Jesse Styles: Go ahead and take a seat back out in the hallway. I'll look over the paperwork when its drawn up, sign it and then bring it out for you to sign. Welcome to New Edge, Miss Foote.
Sasha Foote: Thanks again. You won't regret this. I promise.
Jesse Styles: I hope not.
Sasha walks out of the room, as soon as she hits the hallway she immediately pulls out her phone and turns it back on to tell her mother the great news.

Backstage
Night of Ignite
The camera pans up slowly from the bare feet of Sasha, making its way up to her kickboxing shorts and then up more to her determined, makeup applied face.
Sasha Foote: "The time for talking is almost over. For the last two weeks Al Envy and I have gone back and forth on social media. Both of us thinking we're the better of the two. We've traded verbal blows, but tonight, it gets physical.
Not only do we finally get our hands on each other, but this match isn't any regular old match. This is a no holds barred match. This is a match that realistically could end one of our careers. I've heard on twitter all week how my career is coming to an end and how I have no respect for anyone or anything in wrestling and that isn't true.
I respect you Al, how can I not? You're a hall of famer and arguably the best champion in this company. I respect anyone who is able to dominate their profession. But the part that's unfortunate for you is...I don't like you.
For everyone that says I'm arrogant, spoiled, disrespectful, I've thought the same about you. Granted, people are going to argue that you've earned the right to be how you are over the years. I don't care how you've talked to everyone else you've wrestled, I care how you talk to me. You've been going on and on about how my 15 minutes of fame are almost up. You've ever had the audacity to say you can make me tap out or verbally give up in our match. I can guarantee that won't happen. I refuse to quit, I'm not and never have been a quitter.
I watched your match with Kaupena and you were impressive. You earned that victory, congratulations. But I'm not Kaupena. I'm better than Kaupena, even in my first match. I'm definitely more confident and in competition, confidence is everything. If you don't believe in yourself, nobody else can believe in you.
When I bumped into you at the last Ignite, I felt something. I felt and smelled fear. You looked at me and saw I wasn't backing down an inch. You expected me to cower at your feet and I refused. I knocked out Chris Styles and then I stood my ground with you. Just as I'll do tonight.
And the fans are in a roar, they've waited two weeks for this. Its finally here. The people who have been waiting to see me in the ring before acknowledging that I'm a legit threat here are about to get a wake up call.
I'm excited. I've waited for this moment. This is MY moment. MY chance to show the entire world exactly who Sasha Foote is. I've been working for the last two weeks with some experienced wrestlers, people who I DO respect. Ruthann, Kaden, Caleb, they've all been around the world and won championships in wrestling. I respect them. Despite everyone believing that its impossible for me to respect anyone.
You want to talk about respect? Lets talk about it then. Al Envy doesn't respect me. He flaunts his championships, his hall of fame career and his victories like they guarantee him a win tonight. The only thing guaranteed tonight is that somebody is going to get hurt. I refuse to allow it to be me that's rendered unconscious, pinned in front of the fans in attendance. I refuse it to be my skin broken and busted open, laying in a puddle of my own blood. I refuse to let Al Envy, Vince Moretti, Valora Salinas and everyone else to be right in claiming that I can't win this match.
Tonight, I prove everyone wrong. I prove why Sasha Foote will be a big time player in New Edge. Not only now, or a year...but for the next ten years.
Tonight...I go out there and defeat Al Envy. And when I do, the era of Sasha Foote officially begins."
