Tom Davis: The following contest is schedule for one fall, introducing first JARED MERCER!!!!!
A video pops up onto the screen as the house lights drop all the way down. The only light in the building is the video playing. The cameras tilt up to show a video of a clock with the time running in hyperspeed. The time begins to slow down as the sound of a guitar riff echoes throughout the sound system. The crowd still perplexed as to what is going on.
"What have you done now?!"
Comes across the speakers very loudly as four strobe lights have started to twirl around the entrance way. A cloud of smoke fills the stage as the stage doors open allowing a lift to slowly raise to the surface. "What have you Done" starts to take over the speakers while most of the fans are sitting on the edge of their seats.
"I know I'd better stop trying
You know that there's no denying
I won't show mercy on you now"
The lift finally reaches the surface as the first verse is being sung. The two gates in the front of it opens as one female step through them. Two black lights shine down on her as the crowd is shocked to see Tori Mercer standing on a New Edge Wrestling stage. The lights go black again while the lift drops back through the stage.
"I know, should stop believing
I know, there's no retrieving
It's over now, what have you done?"
The back end of the first verse rings out as four large strobe lights start to float around the arena as tiny strobe lights begin to spin around in the entranceway. More fog fills the stage as the silhouettes of two people are shown by the black lights on the stage.
"What have you done now?!"
Echoes once again as the house lights finally come back up. The fans immediately jump to their feet as Jared Mercer, the cousin to the female Mercers, is standing on a New Edge Wrestling stage with his wife Charlene and daughter Tori right by his side. He throws both of his arms out to the side while letting out a primal scream. The fans scream right back at him as he starts walking down the ramp.
Charlene and Tori are busy greeting the fans as Jared slides right into the ring. He jumps on the second rope while letting out another primal scream. He exits the ring, takes off his signature sunshades and places them on a youngster in the front row. He hops back up onto the ring apron where his wife is waiting for him and gives her a soft kiss on the lips. She hops back down to join Jared's daughter by the commentary booth while he re-enters the ring. Once back inside the ring, he grabs a hold of the top rope and finishes stretching. He stays in the nearest corner while starting to remove his ring jacket.
Tom Davis: And his opponent, AUSTEN IMPACT!!!!!
Bring the noise hits the PA and Austen makes his way down the ramp to the ring.
Jill Matthews: Should be a pretty good one here.
Vince Walters: You say that at the start of almost every match. I don’t think it will be a good one, I think it will suck, just because I want to shake things up, and you know what? I’m calling this bitch like a professional, what you think about that?
Jill Matthews: I will believe it when I see it.
Vince Walters: Well open your eyes baby this thing is happening.
The bell sounds and both men circle, Mercer make the first move, but Impact takes him down with a double leg take down. He spins around the man’s back and locks in a side headlock with Mercer on his stomach. Impact wrenches back on the lock, and mercer reaches for the ropes but is in the middle of the ring. Slowly Mercer positions his knees under him and brings the hold to a standing position, he lands a series of elbow to the stomach of Impact before breaking free and hitting impact with a Russian leg sweep.
Vince Matthews: Great move there, Impact showed his great technical skills but Mercer showed his is more than just a pretty face.
Jill Matthews: That he did, but both me are back on their feet and it looks like we about to get this thing going again.
Both men lock up standard collar to elbow, Impact takes the advantage with an armbar, which he quickly uses to pull Mercer in and lay him down with a short arm clothesline. Impact hits the ropes as Mercer jumps back up to his feet. On the rebound Impact drops Mercer with a shoulder tackle. Again Impact hits the ropes as Mercer is quick back to his feet. On the rebound Mercer dodges the shoulder tackle instead dropping Impact to the matt with a drop toe hold.
Vince Walters: Both men appear to be feeling each other out in the ring right now. It appears that Mercer might have an advantage as he just dropped a vicious elbow to the back of Impact’s head and the man’s face bounced off the matt.
Jill Matthews: It sure does, and Mercer is really pressing the advantage as he just hit a running baseball slide kick to the side of Impacts head.
Pulling Impact to his feet, Mercer hooks him and delivers a snap suplex in the middle of the ring followed by a roll through cover.

No! Impact gets the shoulder up and Mercer slaps the matt jawing with the ref before bringing impact back to his feet again.
Vince Walters: I thought that was it right there, he moved so quick after that impact move on Austen.
Jill Matthews: Austen just got the shoulder up, but Mercer is still pressing the advantage in this one.
Wrapping the man’s waist, Mercer bring Austen into the air and down with a belly to back suplex planting Impact on his face and stomach. Once again Mercer pulls Impact to his feet, this time Impact lashes out with a left that catches Mercer by surprise. For a moment Impact appears to gain the upper hand but Mercer levels a series of strikes and gets Impact back pedaling. Grabbing Impact’s arm Mercer sends the man to the ropes. On the rebound Mercer lifts him up for a Sit out Spinebuster, but Impact counters with his hands around the back of the man’s head and turns it into a swinging DDT.
Vince Walters: What a counter, Mercer was setting this thing up for a finale and Impact made a great counter out of that Spinebuster.
Jill Matthews: yeah but neither man seems quick to get to their feet.
Impact is the first to his feet, using the ropes as a crutch. Mercer gains his feet a second later. Both men turn and lock up in the middle of the ring, Impact gets the upper hand with a knee to the stomach of Mercer. As the man reals in pain, Impact drops him with a bulldog. Now Impact presses the advantage as he pulls Mercer to his feet and hooks the man, hitting a suplex. He doesn’t release it as he rolls it over and delivers a second and then third suplex to Mercer. Impact covers the man for the pin.

NO!!! Mercer just gets the shoulder up, and now it’s Impact upset with the ref.
Vince Walters: Wow I thought it was over right there!
Jill Matthew: I did too, but Mercer got the shoulder up.
Austen pulls Mercer to his feet but Mercer is the one who lashes out at Austen, landing a hard right, followed by a left and right that driver Austen back. Mercer rushes back and hits the ropes, Austen ducks the running clothesline. Mercer hits the opposite ropes and rushes forward again, this time Austen takes the man down with a midsection take down, he flips Mercer to his stomach and wraps up the man’s legs and leans over his back grabbing the man under the chin.
Vince Walters: IMPACT WRENCH!!!!! I think this one is over, Austen has him in the middle of the ring!
Jill Matthews: There it is, Mercer tapped and this one is over, what a move by Impact and what a match!
Tom Davis: Here is your winner, AUSTEN IMPACT!!!!!
