NEW RULES
Here are the following rules and regulations which must be abided by at all times. Any breakage of these rules will result in a penalty or, for repeat offenses, termination.
1. Any sort of discrimination on Sex, Race, Religion, or Creed will be subject to disciplinary action. Further offences in this manner will result in your membership being terminated. Now keep in mind, there is nothing wrong with joking about these subjects every once in a while, but please make sure you know where the boundaries are when it comes to our staff and other roleplayers in the community.
2. Every match will be decided under a 1 RP rule every three weeks.
3. We expect you to meet the requirements on roleplays every time you are booked. If you are unable to meet them or roleplay at all, please let the staff know ahead of time. If you are unable to roleplay at all, please give a weeks notice if possible so we can keep you off the card, and not mess things up.
4. All roleplays must be easy to read with satisfactory content aka don't forget match relevance. Don't expect to win any matches if your roleplay is lacking depth and confusing to the reader.
5. There May be a point taken off if you wait till the last minute of the deadline this is considered sandbagging.
6. In Championship Matches, the Champion will always have an automatic .1 lead. This is called Championship Advantage. If you want to become the Champion, you must overcome this .1 deficit. Yes it can be hard, but you need to prove yourself in these matches and beat the champion not tie the champion.
7. Please use discretion when using other wrestlers. You may talk about their character in any way you want, but you must request their permission if you would like to attack or include them in any sort of face-to-face dialogue. If you are reported for misusing a person's character, or using them without the handler's permission, you will be given a warning. If you continue to disobey this rule, you will likely be terminated. Please do not try to become an anti-authority type if you are given a warning. This will not help you, and it will not help the fed as a whole. This rule also includes MAIN NPC's, such as Managers, Valets, etc.
8. You cannot make your character invincible. In other words, YOU MUST SELL WHAT IS DONE TO YOUR CHARACTER. I cannot stress this enough. Failure to sell anything that happens to your character, for example a backstage attack, will be treated as an act of disrespect to the staff and to the other roleplayers in the game. Our characters are all human - as far as we know - and therefore are able to be injured, bruised, burned, etc. Don't act as though you can have them be some kind of immortal, indestructible being, because that would just be nonsense.
Now, if something happens to your character in a roleplay or segment that you did not sign-off on, please alert the staff as soon as possible. Please do not openly vent about it, as this can result in unnecessary drama. Sometimes curve-balls will be thrown in results for your character to play off of.
9. Wrestlers must be original characters. No carbon copies of the Rock, Stone Cold, CM PUNK or any other direct rip-offs of any other real wrestling characters. Posers can be of a professional wrestler, however, by actually using them as a character will be ignored. If you do apply with a character like this your application will be denied.
10. If you are caught stealing a roleplay you will be terminated immediately, and you will likely be black-listed in the communities we affiliate with. Rping is a major part of this game, so why waste our time copying, editing and pasting someone else's work as a roleplay? We frown upon rehashing old roleplays as well. If you are going to use one please clear it with the Owner or Staff. We expect your roleplay to be original and relevant to current situations in the game world.
11:This is a rule concerning Graphics if you sign up to the fed, pick a pic base, ask for a signature or any other kind of graphics and then change your pic base within the first two-three months you will not get
anymore graphics made for you for at least 2-3 months time unless it's a special circumstance of course. For at the end of the day the GFX team takes time out of there day to make graphics for you and to do that
in such a short matter of time is a waste of there time.
12. Finally, the most important rule of them all ... have fun! If you are not having fun, or wish to comment upon something that is bothering you during the game, whether it be a certain storyline or handler, take it up with the Owner or any of the staff members. DO NOT vent your frustrations publically, as this will cause unnecessary drama. These conversations will be held in a private setting and will be kept confidential amongst the staff. We are here to create a fun environment for everyone and wish to help those who are in need of support or distress. If you still feel like this game is no fun, take a break. If you want to simply cause problems, you will be fired. There are no other alternatives here. So have fun, RP to the best of your ability, and enjoy our fine community.
ROLEPLAY GRADING SYSTEM
This is how I the Owner grade roleplays here in New Edge. Figurd thought I'd put up a page explaining what my 'turn ons' and 'turn offs' are when it comes to roleplaying. This may help some people who haven't achieved the outcomes they were hoping for recently.
Originality
First and foremost be original. One thing that is certain to turn me off is reading or hearing about the same old roleplay. An example would be of a Wrestler going down to the ring and talking on his next opponent.
So basically I don't want to read a whole line of dialogue of your superstar standing in the center of the ring. Be original, that is all I ask. Maybe you go on a photo shoot or are filming an advertising commercial or are on the Late Show, or Oprah or whatever. Or perhaps you'll do a gig for charity or maybe you're in court facing criminal charges. Just make it original and you're bound to do well.
Attention to Detail
Please, please, please keep the content of your roleplay running with the themes and storylines that are currently running. This is where people lose major marks. Read other peoples roleplays ...read results and know the opponent aka do a little home on them.
Suspense
Suspense is good. This isn't a major part of the marking criteria, but if you leave a roleplay open for someone else to carry on, it's a big thumbs up.
Quality & Quantity
I judge simply on the quality end of story rather its 9 thousands words or 1500 words if you hit the marks and keep me intrested you should have a fairly shot.
Tag Matches you must use each other in someway and some form in each others rps it's called TAG for a reason.
Detail
Detail is always good; just pick up a good book and look at the detail used there. Try and give the audience a feeling like they are really inside your roleplay. This is just good writing practice. Roleplays without detail tend to be dry and boring.
Maintaining the Integrity of Other Characters
Okay, so this is what generates the most complaints. If you're going to use another character in your roleplay, make sure you first clear it with them first. Secondly, at all times maintain the integrity of the other character you're using. If they're a proper person with high morals, don't have them banging hoes and getting drunk at some Gentleman's club. DO NOT ATTACK another character in your roleplay without the expressed permission of their handler.
Relevance
This is a wrestling fed so please let's try to include that in your Roleplay's. I am not asking you to talk all wrestling and nothing else in your Roleplay's, but still you're a wrestler in a wrestling fed. If you manage to follow this logic at all times, then you'll be fine.
