ENTRANCE DESCRIPTION
As the beat of "Start A Riot" kicks in, red and blue lights begin to swirl around the stage. On the screens, a big "I" written in the Superman logo style appears on the screen. Israel Bishop emerges from the back, red cap tied around his neck, bouncing and stretching, smiling from ear to ear. He bounces with a frenetic energy, shaking lose his hands and arms and cracking his neck.
Israel leaps into the air and lands on one foot and one knee, slamming his fist into the ground in a superhero landing pose. Israel immediately leaps up, walking with a high energy to the ring, high fiving any fan who holds their hand out. When he arrives at ringside, he does a lap around the ring, high fiving fans as much as possible. Once he has done a full lap, he jogs up the steps and leaps over the top rope, going to the immediate turnbuckle, climbing to the second rope, and holds his right fist high! He leaps off the second rope and moves to the opposite turnbuckle, doing the same pose! He then leaps off again, removes the cape, and throws it into the crowd!
WRESTLING STYLE: High energy, flashy brawling. Despite being kinda chubby, he is shockingly fast, flexible, and agile. His greatest strength is his cardio. Lacks technical, chain wrestling skills and has very rudimentary submission skills. On the defensive, he prefers to rely on his strength and heart to power out of things. Since a lot of his moves have a lot of pomp and circumstance to them, expect a lot of misses in his matches.
BASIC MOVES: Punches and punch combos
Elbow Strikes
Forearm Strikes
Yakuza Kick
Flying Clothesline
Flying Shoulder Tackle
Yakuza Kick
German Suplex
Back Suplex
Powerslam
Running Powerslam
Spinebuster
SIGNATURE MOVE(S): Up and Away - there are two variations. Variation one, Israel will grab his opponent under the armpits and toss them up in the air. On their way down, he will land a hard right hook to the face. In variation two, this is simply a counter to a top rope or springboard move. So, basically, a hard right hook to the face of an opponent who is coming down.
The Hero Pose (Up and Away is usually the set up) - As the opponent is down on the ground, Israel will place his feet on both sides of their head (ala The People’s Elbow). He will hold his right fist high and let out a loud scream. He will then run to the ropes, bounce off, and leap up in the air before coming down on one knee and one foot, slamming his fist into the chest or stomach of the opponent. After this move, Israel may go for the pin, or he may go for his finisher, the Bishop Bomb. For smaller shows, this can be a secondary finisher.
Bishop Bounce - Stinger Splash/Leaping Corner Splash
FINISHING MOVE(S): Bishop Bomb (The Hero Pose usually precedes this) - Flying Elbow Drop. Of course this comes with some flair. Israel will stand up completely straight on the top rope and point to his opponent and wag his finger at them, shouting ‘uh oh’ (if the fans are feeling Bishop, they may say it along with him). He will then slap his elbow three times and shout “BOOM” (which, again, if the fans are feeling him, they may shout it with him) before leaping off for the Flying Elbow Drop.

BIOGRAPHY: Israel Bishop was born Jacob Tanner. He was born into The Church of the Martyr, an Arkansas based religious cult that existed on the outskirts of the town of Dyer. Run by a man known only as “Father Grant”, The Church of the Martyr was a commune that was founded on the belief that, to be like Jesus and get into heaven, one must endure suffering. The commune was agriculturally based and, similar to Amish communes, used no electricity and no means of simplifying the work, aside from the use of livestock.
Jacob grew up doing hard, back breaking work, but was found to be rather naturally strong and driven. At the age of 14, Israel was bigger and stronger than most of his peers. He would be called to a private meeting with Father Grant. This was when Israel would learn about “The Parable of Combat”. When members of The Church of the Martyr broke too many rules (or too severe of a rule), they were forced to live in even harder conditions known as “The Preview of Hell”. They were given extra chores and tasks while being given fewer food and water rations. It was also believed that anyone who died while in “The Preview of Hell” would be automatically doomed to real Hell. there was one way out, though: “The Parable of Combat”. As Jacob in the Book of Genesis battled a real angel for an entire evening, those who were doomed to the “Preview of Hell” could fight one of Father Grant’s chosen. If they were able to win the fight by knocking out the chosen or making them quit, or if they could last fifteen minutes, they would be allowed to be a normal member of the Church again. Jacob, had been noticed by Father Grant for being particularly strong, so he began to have Jacob trained by his other chosen and, by the age of 16, Israel would be fighting those who were trying to get out of the “Preview of Hell”. Israel only lost on a handful of occasions, and never after he turned 19. He would be a proud member of Father Grant’s chosen until one day, a few weeks after turning 21, he was forced to take part in a fight he was not proud of.
Father Grant had multiple wives, and he could take the wife of anyone in the Church. One day, he took a woman who had a husband of 15 years and a 10 year old son. The father would leave the Church, feeling betrayed. This angered Grant, but he did not wish to take his anger out on his new wife, so he instead turned his rage on her son. The 10 year old was told he would have to pay for the sins of his father and would be sentenced to “The Preview of Hell”. The 10 year old was told how to get out, and he immediately requested a fight. Jacob was given the task of fighting him. Jacob protested, but Father Grant was persuasive, and the mother of the child even said that it was for the best. Jacob destroyed the young boy, knocking him out in a matter of seconds.
That night, Jacob felt hollow.
He would spend the next year questioning the Church and Father Grant in his head, but the final straw came a week before his 22nd birthday. The young boy, living with barely enough food and being forced to do the hardest possible work everyday without breaks, had committed suicide.
Jacob fled the church that night. After getting in touch with the father of the boy, they both attempted to get the police involved, but Father Grant, with the help of his brainwashed disciples, had managed to cover up the incidents, made the death look like an illness gone wrong, and said that the father and Jacob were just bitter, as the mother had fallen for Father Grant, and Jacob had been kicked out for being too violent and starting too many fights. Jacob and the father tried to take their story to the media, but the Church was too powerful and too well organized. After 2 years of trying to bring the cults activities to light, Jacob and the father left Dyer, moving into a small apartment in Hot Springs, Arkansas together. They struggled by with various farm and ranch work for a year. Jacob, seeing the outside world for the first time, immediately became obsessed with professional wrestling and comic book superheroes, specifically Superman. Seeing a way to turn his violent talents into a beacon of hope for people across the world, Jacob took his meager savings, legally changed his name to Israel Bishop (for Israel means one who wrestles with God), and began training and working small, independent wrestling circuits. He would continue that for the next 5 years.
His hope is that one day he will be televised and, though he keeps his past relationships to the cult in Dyer, Arkansas secret, holds out hope that one day people from the cult will see him and realize that there is a life outside of The Church of the Martyr.
NOTE: Though I may have some flashbacks and play with the concept of his past in rps and such, please do not have your character use his past in your promos. It is a secret that he keeps to himself and is not common knowledge.
