Walking through her living room that early evening, Justice Cross would hear her phone notification for a new text message go off. She reached into her pocket taking out her phone and looked to see who it was. When she realized that it was an official from New Edge she quickly opened the text and saw she was being told she would be in a match in New Orleans when Ignite takes place there. Another text quickly came into her and she saw that it was a tables match against Rylee Ruin and Priscilla White with her tag team partner being Abbigail Dresden. Smirking a bit she put her phone away in her pocket again. She then walked into the kitchen where she caught her son drinking out of the milk.
Justice: Get a damn glass.
Ian: Oh shit. I didn’t know you were home.
Justice: Language.
Ian: Sorry Mom.
Justice: You may be able to get away with that when you talk to your dad but not with me. I’ll wash your mouth out with soap if you use words like that again.
Ian: I’m sixteen.
Justice: I don’t care if you're thirty-five and I hear you, I’ll still wash your mouth out with soap.
Ian: Really? You’re going to wash an adult’s mouth out with soap?
Justice: Yeah. Because I’m your mom and I taught you better than that.
Ian: Oh my god. What is wrong with you?
Justice: You drinking out of the carton of milk is what is wrong with me.
Ian: Dad was right. You are kind of a bitch when you don’t have coffee.
Hearing him call her that would cause her eyes to widen a bitch and she instinctively went to lunge at him. However, she felt two arms wrap around her and pick her up off the ground carrying her into the living room. The person set her down and told her not to move. He then went back into the kitchen to take care of Ian. After a few moments, Anthony “Enforcer” Cross walked out of the kitchen looking at Justice then to Ian crossing his arms before looking back to Justice.
Enforcer: Our son has something he would like to say to you. Go ahead Ian, say it.
Ian: I’m sorry I called you a bitch. I shouldn’t have. But because I did, dad grounded me for a month.
Justice: Good. You deserve it. Now go to your room and work on your homework or something.
As he walks off she would walk to the balcony and go sit outside on the couch. After a few minutes she would get back up going to the wood pile and put some wood in the fire pit and start a fire before sitting down again staring at the flames. She would take her phone out once more and turn her live streaming on and set the phone up to show her looking into the fire.
Justice: My favorite quote from one of the most celebrated movies of all time is “The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are. I will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!” This quote is everything to me as I have been in New for damn near three months and have YET to win a match. Every time I step into that ring I try my hardest to get that win. I try not to disappoint my fans who have followed me here to New Edge but what happened? I not only lost my debut match here but I lost my last match as well. And I’m not sitting here complaining because I want to work for that win.
She could be seen then curling up on the couch trying to warm herself up with the fire.
Justice: In my debut match I faced Rylee Ruin and lost. You know what they say about her right? That this girl is psycho because she has multiple personalities. I mean she can be sweet but then she can be a holy terror. Honestly, if you ask me, it’s just a ruse for her to get attention. But why would she want attention? I know why! Because she’s like all the other little girls that come into this business thinking of ways to reach the top. Some chose to do it the wrong way, and some chose to do it the right way and repackage themselves. Evolution is key Rylee. And this company is the first place I have ever had to step foot into the ring with you. However, I’ve heard how good you are in the ring. But girl, let’s be honest, just because you got that win over me, doesn’t make you get that spotlight that you think you have. You see Rylee, I’m going to let you in on a little secret, and make sure you listen and listen close because I’m only going to say this one time to you. Justice Cross…is the damn spotlight. It doesn’t matter if it’s New Edge or if it was 1WM. I’m always going to be the spotlight or have the spotlight, wherever I go. That’s something you and everyone else haven’t figured out yet. Do you want to know why I have that spotlight, Rylee? Because I reach for those brass rings every time I go out in front of the crowd. I put everything I have into what I do and quite frankly, my husband taught me how to be in the spotlight. Sure I’m not the greatest of all time like he is but I can still throw down when it comes to getting in that ring and even though I lost to you, I still sent the crowd home happy. And honestly, isn’t that all that matters Rylee? Because you see, if it weren’t for the fan, none of us would have a job. So learn to get over yourself Rylee, because the great multiple personality disorder thing has been overdone and Mick Foley called wanting his schtick back.
Smirking a devilish smirk then she would narrow her eyes and look into the phone now.
Justice: Oh and let’s not forget Priscilla guys. I mean she’s Priscilla White, the daughter of Druscilla. Now while I know Dru, I don’t know much about Priscilla. Except that she likes to cheat to win. Yeah, that’s right I said it. And I’ll say it again. Priscilla White cheated to get that win against me at the last Ignite when we were in Memphis. I mean she used a chair on me. If you want a weapons match bitch all you have to do is ask me. I’m just playing, or am I? No, I am playing. I mean I already said stuff about you the last time that you are hardly worth the time or effort to say anything about this time. Um, let me think, oh I know! Your boots are ugly? Huh, I guess I got nothing. Oh, I’ve been meaning to ask you though Cilla, did you make it home to Graceland when we were there for the last show? Oh wait, you’re not that Cilla. If you were, I'd be asking for your autograph. I’d ask you about a few things actually but you aren’t her. And why would you be? I mean she married Elvis, left him, and then acted like she was still Mrs. Elvis but we all know the story. She wasn’t his wife. They did love each other though. Does anyone love you, Priscilla? I hope so because Valentine’s Day is coming up and honestly, jokes aside, no one should be alone on Valentine’s Day. I mean cause you know, we get one day a year to show someone we love them. Yeah right, what a crock. It’s the biggest commercial shopping day of the year. If you can’t spend the other 364 days of the year telling or showing someone you love them then why be with them?
Sitting up she now looked right into the phone’s camera more than what she did just a few seconds ago.
Justice: And then we get to Abbigail. My tag team partner. You know what Abbigail, it seems like as of late, and no offense to you, but it seems like as of late the company or companies that I have worked or work for want me to team up with the youngest roster members. I mean I should be thrilled that they think I can offer the young girls some guidance when it comes to this business but honestly, I just don’t feel excited and happy about it. Do you want to know why that is Abbigail? It’s because when a little girl shows up in this business it’s always she’s eighteen or younger and is so green that people honestly think that she is immature. Don’t be green. Please show me that you know what you are doing. I can’t take another young girl being crazy. When I was sixteen, I was grown up. I had to be because I didn’t have a choice. But you know what, when it comes right down to it, I’m sure that everything between you and I will be fine. Just whatever you do, don’t go Ailyn Darrington on me because tag team partner or not, I will knock you out if you do.
Grabbing a bucket of water sitting near her, Justice stood up. She began to dump it onto the fire to put it out then sat that bucket back down before going inside.
Justice: Get a damn glass.
Ian: Oh shit. I didn’t know you were home.
