It's the first of February and in the condo she shares with her future husband Dax Darrington, Six Ryan, and Emily Agnelli. We find Ailyn Darrington mulling over the seating map for her wedding in just 13 days. Just then the elevator can be heard ringing and a few moments later Dax himself appears in the Condo.
Dax: Hey baby, are you awake? That workout was amazing!!
Ailyn looks up from her laptop and responds.
Ailyn: Yeah, I'm in that kitchen, Babes!
He walks in to see his future wife looking rather flustered and staring blankly at the computer screen.
Dax: Are you okay, you look some type of way?
Ailyn: I don't know what to do about this damn seating chart! We can't have some sit with others because they don't get along, some won't know one another, and the others don't like anyone. This is such a pain in the ass. I'm thinking we should just have open seating and let everyone figure it out for themselves?
Dax looks at the screen and the map of the tables has no names anywhere.
Dax: There's no need to stress out about where these people are going to sit for a few hours. I agree we should just let them sit where they like and I'm sure everything will work itself out.
He kisses her on the top of her head and sits down in front of the plate of food Ai prepared for him.
Dax: Please close that thing up and enjoy the beautiful breakfast you made?
Ai does so and starts to eat the eggs, turkey sausage, and homefries.
Ailyn: I'm also kinda stressed about this match in New Orleans this weekend. I've lost four in a row and I'm tired of being the jobber to everyone in the business! I know two of them were absolute legends of the game, one of which was a freaking title match. And now, I have this Andrew Garrison guy who I know I can definitely beat.
Dax listens intently to every word The Silly Girl had to say before speaking as he usually does.
Dax: We have to be honest here, baby. Everyone of those losses you literally almost won and being the rookie you are you made a mistake of some kind to lose. Be it announcing what you were going to do, being distracted twice, or getting jumped by those weirdos in 1WM. In everyone single one of those situations, you could have done one thing differently and you'd still be undefeated.
Ailyn with tears in her eyes looks at her fiance. He gets up from his chair and dries her eyes before sweetly kissing her
Dax: Don't cry, this is a very fixable set of problems. First, you need to be more aware of your surroundings and when you have someone in a winnable state that's the only thing that matters. Second, you and Six need to be on the same page a little bit better like your dad told you the other day. I hate to see you so sad about anything in your life because in a few days we become one and no one will be able to separate us. So, let's talk about this Garrison guy. What do you know about him?
Ai wipes away the final tears from her face.
Ailyn: He's a really big guy at least 6’4” and 250. A former Kiwi rugby player turned wrestler and clearly a power guy. He lost out on his X-Core title match last show because of injury to Meg Coleman. I'm feeling he'll be hungry for some action because of that fact.
Dax: Big and powerful translates to slow, Babe. If you use your smarts and unbelievable amount of speed and conditioning you'll have the upper hand in that part of the fight. Never let him corner you or use that big body to his advantage. Take out his legs and without them he can't use his size against you. And,that hunger to fight is also an amazing thing to use against him. He's going to want to prove he still deserves the shot he missed so he'll probably take you for granted. Does all of that make sense?
Ai nods as she eats more of her meal. There's nothing but interest in her posture and body language.
Ailyn: And like my father and Xan used to say all the time everyone is the same size on the ground!
Dax: Exactly!! If you wear him out with your Silly ass you'll be able to hit him with SSG or show him what The End of the match looks like. Just sayin'!
Dax belly laughs as he used her own catchphrase on his future wife as he loves to do as of late. The two Lovebirds finish up their breakfast talking about a bunch of particulars about their wedding day.
Later that same day Ailyn has a fitting for her wedding dress that both Six and her Girlfriend Emi accompany her too. Dax isn't invited because the only traditional wedding tradition they're observing is he will not see her until she and her father process down the aisle during the ceremony. Besides that, the wedding is going to be a very progressive affair. In the Uber ride Ailyn's phone rings with a very familiar contact, her Aunt Ryleigh is attempting to contact her.
Six: That's Ry-Ry's ringtone. I wonder what they want?
Ailyn: I guess there's only one way to find out.
Emi: You guys call her Ry-Ry, how cute is that?
Six: She's an interesting woman for certain.
Ailyn: That's an understatement!
Ai answers the call and puts it on speaker.
Ailyn: Hello Auntie, how's it going today?
Ryleigh: We're good, just got back from the villa in Nice.
Ailyn: We're on our way to have my final dress fitting.
Ryleigh: Who's we?
Six: I'm here with my girlfriend as to be expected, Ry-Ry.
Ryleigh: Hello Six and Emily, right?
Ailyn: That's right, Auntie! What did you need, Ry?
Ryleigh: If we were to offer you and your Atlanta crew a car all of you could fit into would you accept it? We know you're trying to make your own way and all.
Ailyn: I don't think so, Auntie.
Six looks at her bestie like she has nine heads.
Six: If she and Dax won't I sure will, Ryleigh.
Ailyn: But, you still don't drive do you, Six?
Six: Not yet, but Emi drives.
Ailyn: Come on, Six. You know what we agreed to do when we moved away from Seattle. We do us and make our own way.
Ryleigh: I love that you're doing this independence thing, ladies. But, you can't fault a girl for trying to give you what we likes to gift most, new cars!
Ailyn: I've always marched to a different drummer, Auntie. You know that!
Ryleigh: True that. Well gotta run see you in New Orleans in a couple days, Little Love!
Ai disconnects the call and Six immediately looks at her confused.
Six: I thought this was an experiment to see if we can survive on our own. But, if one of your family offers us a gift we should take it, right?
Ailyn's usual joyous demeanor hardens a bit.
Ailyn: Six, I know that's the only life we knew before. But, if this quartet is to work we need to earn and pay for everything ourselves, Sis.
Emi: That's extremely commendable, Ai. I totally agree with that line of thinking and I'm on board with this lifestyle! What say you, Sweetie?
Six: I love our little family, how can I say no… But, presents!
Six fake cries, Ailyn and Emily both burst in laughter as the van pulls up to the dress shop.
Ailyn: You're stuck with us, Sis!!
Six: Lucky me?!?
The three girls have a complete blast of an afternoon and in the end have their wedding attire. It's one step closer to Ai being a Darrington. They have one last stop for their day full of appointments. It's at the venue where the wedding and reception is taking place called The Trolley Barn to make sure all of the particulars are in place. Whilst en route Ai calls her mother for her daily check in. Violet Ruin answers immediately as she usually does.
Violet: Hello little love, how'd the fitting go?
Ailyn: Really good, the alterations were perfect and I'm going to be a beautiful bride for Dax!
Ai sends a picture of her in the dress to her mother.
Ailyn: What do you think?
Violet: It's perfect and exactly your style. I have to say one thing though, little love.
Ailyn: What's that Momma?
Violet: This day is for both of you and I'm ecstatic you want to be beautiful for your husband to be. But, remember this day is for both of you and you have to want to be the most gorgeous girl that day for you first!
Ailyn: I know and let's face it weddings are really for the wife to be more than the husband, right?
Violet: I guess so.
Ailyn can sense there's something her mother isn't saying.
Ailyn: I was under the impression my whole life my Mom never had to guess about anything. Why that response, Momma?
There's an almost uncomfortable long pause.
Violet: I'm going to say this once and only once, Ai. Are you sure this is everything you want in your life? Being married so young while you are growing your career which you're amazingly, by the way. And, is Dax really the man you see yourself spending the rest of your life with? I love you two being together and the growth you've made in a matter of months is astounding. What I'm concerned about is like your Dad and I you're getting married so young, love. Now, we had a very different reason though...
Ailyn: Yeah… Me!!
Violet: Please let me finish, love?
Ailyn: Sorry.
Violet: You're just so different than I think any of us imagined and I think it has a lot to do with your fiance?
Ailyn pauses herself to collect her thoughts.
Ailyn: The answer to all of that is yes, Mom! Has Dax been a major factor in my sudden change, of course he has. Did he have a huge issue with the wealth and absurdity of our family, also yes. He opened my eyes to these things and I love him more and more everyday for doing so. The way Mema and Ry-Ry live their lives isn't normal, Momma. And, I know the way you and Dad live and raised both Lia and I was far less extravagant than their lifestyle. So after Dax opened my eyes to how inappropriate the whole thing is. I had to cut ties to the bankroll and make my way in this world like a normal person with this quartet I have here in Atlanta. Auntie tried to offer us a car today and I respectfully declined, because it's not us that earned it. I'm pretty sure both of my development deals are going to end early and I'm not going to be hurting for anything at that point, financially. Not that we are now, just so you know. I'm so happy and have the greatest man any girl could ever dream of. Not to mention, at 18 I have my dream job, Momma. How lucky is that?
A little bit of held back crying can be heard on the call as Violet is clearly getting emotional on the other end of the call.
Violet: That's everything I needed to hear and I, well we, your father and I are so proud of you, Ailyn. It's insane that my daughter is such a put together woman at such a young age. I love you and your maturity, little love! But, I have to get going. Ry-Ry has a new candidate for the Elite class coming in for a tryout and I have to get her on boarded here at TRIOCS. Good talk my beautiful daughter. Talk to you tomorrow!!
The trio gets everything with the venue in order. That makes it so the only thing that the wedding party needs to do is have a great time. Being a part of one of the most visually stunning ceremonies most people will ever see.
Dax: Hey baby, are you awake? That workout was amazing!!
