As the scene opens up on a pier in Santa Monica we can see Justice Cross signing a few autographs and taking some pictures with a few fans before excusing herself. She would then make her way to the very end and go to the rail placing each hand palm side down on it. Looking out at the water she would take some deep breaths and close her eyes while thinking some. She took another deep breath, opened her eyes, and then spoke.
Justice: I was born on December 25th, 1989 in St. Louis, Missouri. I didn’t have a choice or get to pick who my family was but it ended up being that my dad was a professional wrestler. And my mom, his wife, had other children with him already and I was the baby of the family. I guess you can say that I was the baby of the family both metaphorically and metaphorically. I grew up at times without my father around which was hard because I didn’t understand why he wasn’t home. And it wasn’t until he started being home more that I understood the things he was off doing was to beagle to give his children and his wife the things they wanted in life. My siblings didn't just get things we wanted. We got things we needed such as food, clothes, and shelter. He didn’t want to be one of those wrestlers who got branded a deadbeat father because he wasn’t there all the time for his kids. So because I know how my father made sure we were well taken care of growing up, you can imagine my sentiment when a little boy known to us all as TJ Alexander decided to run his damn mouth about me. Rose Spears, I will get to next but TJ Alexander, let me talk to you for a minute. Because I’ve got something I want you to hear and hear it loud and clear, because I’m at the pier where you aren’t, and there is no camera crew around me to get what I am saying.
Shivering a bit she tilted her head diagonally to the left side of her but down to her shoulder then stood back up straight. Staring back at the water she slowly got that smirk of hers that some have said she gets when up to no good.
Justice: Tj Alexander, the little boy who decided to talk to me from his hotel room with no camera around. Huh, I guess he thought that was ok to do because he wanted me to hear him. Well, you know what TJ for some odd reason, I did hear you. So let me talk about the things you said about me and then I will tell you whether you are right or you are wrong. And trust me, sweetheart, half of what you said is wrong. You see, that’s the damn problem with people. They think they know everything there is to know about me but some things I keep to myself. So let’s begin, oh and TJ you better take some notes honey because I’m about to whip your ass.
Gripping the rail tighter for a few moments she took a breath then released the tightness of the grip.
Justice: The first thing you said about me, which was in your hotel room without a camera for me to hear you of all things, is that I am a second-generation wrestler and that my father was a professional wrestler. A second-generation wrestler? You didn’t do your homework as thoroughly as you thought you did because honey there ain’t no second generation thing about me. Do you want to know why that is? Can anyone from class tell TJ why I’m not a second-generation wrestler? Oh wait, I can. It’s because I’m not. I’m a third-generation wrestler. The lineage goes as follows, and this is where I told you to take your notes, the third generation wrestler which is me, the second generation wrestler which is my father, and the first generation wrestler which was my grandfather. Oh, and you know what else? My uncle’s a damn second-generation wrestler. So when you go around trying to sound like one of the cool kids throwing the second generation around I suggest you make sure you're crystal clear on whether or not I am. You know what, I kind of like talking like you are right next to me and listening to me, so let me talk some more to you because I know you aren’t here and can’t even hear me.
Smirking, she would laugh a bit and then shake her head. She turned from the railing and walked to a bench and sat down on it.
Justice: You know what else you got wrong about me? The fact that you said the minute I entered this business I had every door opened for me because of my father and because of who he is. Come on TJ, if you're going to rattle off the things about my career you could at least make sure you fucking get it right so I don’t have to correct you. I started this business when I was sixteen years old and that was in what -pauses to do the math- 2005? I didn’t start this business because of my father. You see TJ, if you’re going to bring up something that some people know details about do it the right way. Here everyone, here is what TJ meant to tell you. I entered this business in 2005 when my father forbade me to enter it. Yeah, that’s right TJ. He forbade me to enter it. It was ok for my brother but for me? It was a rather taboo subject because he didn’t want me to fall into the darker side of this business that happens with the girls. Or the drugs…lord knows there are drugs in this business. I ran away from home TJ. Do you not understand that concept? I went to bed one night when I was sixteen, waited till my parents were asleep, and snuck out my bedroom window with a bag that only had five of my outfits in it. I then went next door and climbed up to my best friend Brianna Matthew’s window and told her I was leaving St. Louis because my dad pissed me off. I told her what my plan was too. Then I climbed down and went to her car waiting because I knew that she wouldn’t just let me go alone. In about five minutes she showed up with a bag of her own and her car keys. We took our little happy butts right up to New York. Did about two year’s worth of dark matches because we were minors. I mean damn can’t let the minors sign contracts right? And you know what TJ, I earned my first contract bitch. You know who gave me my first contract? Damon Motherfucking Riggs. Make sure you remember that name TJ because it’s a name people put respect on. To this day when people want to ask me who it is that I owe my entire gratitude for my career being started it will always be one hundred percent Riggs. He saw something in me and you know what he saw TJ? He saw a young girl who was just starting out taking all the tools of the trade she had been given the TWO previous years and doing everything on her own. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this business for two years of dark matches because I wanted to prove I wasn’t just here because of my dad or the rest of my family. I had a lot of broken ribs, concussions, broken noses, hell I was even knocked out cold a few times and didn’t wake up until the following day during those times. Ok so maybe that part is an exaggeration but still, everything thrown at me I took and I took all of it without batting an eye. Because whether you like it or not TJ, I’m the kind of girl that doesn’t worry about whether or not I break a goddamn nail in the ring or that my outfit has to look just perfect.
Looking around she would get back up and begin walking back down the pier towards the entrance to leave and go home. But kept talking as she walked.
Justice: Many people don’t realize this but there was a time when women couldn’t face men in the ring. So you know what? I took that and I ran with it. I fought every show until everyone started realizing that I might be onto something. It’s not just men that deserve to be in title contention or title matches. Do you know how many companies I have been in as a top title holder and CLOSED those companies out the champ? Too many to count for me. Oh, but there was one time when I got told a girl’s place wasn’t in the ring and he said a bunch of other stuff to drag me down too. And then a few days later he tried to apologize. And since you aren’t a girl TJ you aren’t going to understand the significance of a guy apologizing to girls so make sure you listen to this part carefully. He only apologized to me because he was told to apologize to me. I can go back to that time and I can honestly say that because at that time, like I said, it was frowned upon for the girls to start being in the business. Do you want to know why that is? Because all you men thought us girls would take your damn tv time. Not to mention your spotlight, but you see TJ that spotlight, is and always has been mine. So little boy, while you want to say you fucking earned everything you got in this business let me ask you something you little bitch. Where's your gold at?
Finally making it to her car she goes over and gets in the front driver’s side and just sits in it for a few moments.
Justice: You know TJ, forgive me if I am wrong but while you were in a hotel room without a camera crew I heard you say something that I need to set you straight on. And that’s my husband. You know who I’m talking about right? I mean you said his name so you must. Anthony “Enforcer” Cross. The Greatest of All Time. He’s retired now but he’s better than you’ll ever be…and that’s probably in more ways than one. I mean look at you, who in their right mind would touch you with a ten-foot pole? Oh, and you know that part about you saying that I moved to Anthony to open up more doors and get me what I want when I moved on from my father opening up doors to getting me everything I want? I’ve never ONCE relied on my husband for my career. Sure you may have heard me a few times talk about him or mention him or say I’m married to the greatest of all time. But you’ve never once seen me use him for my career. In fact, why don’t you go call Anthony? Do you want something to talk to him about? Ask him about how I’ve been with him for eighteen years, married for sixteen of them, our sixteen-year-old son, and his daughter. That’s what he talks about now. And you know what TJ, since you thought you could get what everyone wants and that’s the rub from the greatest of all time let me make something crystal clear to you. You don’t EVER talk about my family again. Leave my husband’s name out of your mouth. Because if you do, well sweetheart you and I will have some alone time. Only it won’t be the kind of alone time every man wishes he could have with me. But you know what you got wrong? You said I was great. Sweetheart, I am anything but great. I took a five-year hiatus in 2015, came back in 2020 and here I am four years later finally getting back to the old me.
Starting up her car she then began to drive off still talking.
Justice: Oh and where do you get off talking about the fact that I had a corkscrew fracture on my leg? You don’t know the hell I went through with that fracture and you don’t know the state of mind it put me in. Yeah, people kept telling me to retire but I didn’t listen because I will end my career on MY terms, not anyone else's. You know what, while you're talking to Anthony on the phone, that’s if you’re smart enough to find his number, ask him why he left me in St. Louis when that happened. If you do he will tell you because it was the only way to get me to let it heal. I tried to come work on that leg BEFORE it finished healing and they all stopped me. I spent all goddamn summer with that cast on my leg, in the spare bedroom at my parents' house. My mom’s a nurse and she did a fantastic job helping me but don’t fucking talk about that injury. It was a freak injury. You don’t know what it was like to get up onto the turnbuckle, lose your footing, and fall to the ground, fracturing your leg and being knocked out cold. They had to use the damn-smelling salts on me in the backstage area. So unless you know the physical and mental pain I went through…shut your goddamn mouth pansy bitch. Oh lord, listen to me. Look, the injury is a sore spot for me because people don’t know the extent to which I was injured when they try to bring it up to me. But hey I get it, you got to try and be the “cool kid” by bringing up someone’s injury when that someone happens to be Justice Cross. So I don’t care if you’re from London bitch, you’ve never stepped into the ring with me before and in Texas, you’re going to get to do just that. You’re a wise man baby boy, I can tell you've been talking to someone because you knew what things to bring up that would get me pissed off. And honestly, it’s ok. I get it. You just want to make a name for yourself but the only name people are going to know before and after that match is Justice Cross. Just remember one thing TJ, it’s a triple-threat match. You don’t have to be pinned to lose you little asshole.
Stopping her car in front of a gym, Enforcer walks to the passenger side getting in.
Enforcer: Hey baby.
Justice: Hey. How was your gym time?
Enforcer: Good. What have you been up to?
Justice: Oh just talking to TJ Alexander.
Enforcer looked around in the car and then at Justice with a confused look on his face.
Enforcer: You realize it is just you and me in here right?
Justice: Anthony! I’m not stupid. I am in the middle of a promo. You know what, be good and let me finish this while we go home and maybe you can do some of that work you like.
Enforcer: Carry on.
Justice: And as for you Rose Spears……where are you, girl? Do I need to send out a search party for you because I will? Oh wait, that's right. You’re nothing more than one of those little girls who show up somewhere, sign a contract, and then do nothing. Well, you know what Rose? If you want to be where the big kids play, then you have to play with them too. It’s so sad really that you never show your face around NEW because I honestly would like to see it! I could have passed the torch on to you…oh wait that’s right, the only torch that will be passed to you is the one that burns you when you hear that three count and see my hand raised in the air and announce the winner of the match.
Getting home a few blocks down from the gym, they would both get out of the purple Lambo and make their way to the front door. Walking in they saw their son trying to wipe something off the wooden floors. After he was done he went up the stairs. Justice shook her head picking up her cat with both Justice and Enforcer going to the couch snuggling up as he flipped through the channels.
Justice: I was born on December 25th, 1989 in St. Louis, Missouri. I didn’t have a choice or get to pick who my family was but it ended up being that my dad was a professional wrestler.
