He was unstoppable, his first couple of fights that is. The Virus. Now he is facing another man who has had his ups and downs after his comeback. He has been on his tears and win streaks also. Lost in Time. Virus has been on a losing streak and it will continue to get worse for him this week and on. When he first came in no one could stop him. Now there's a cure for the so called Virus who was destroying all.
He's not all that he was made out to be. He was insane, sadistic, and villainous. Now he has been on his downfall and the immune system has taken control and almost destroyed this Virus.
All these thoughts were running through his mind at this point in time. His fight with The Virus was tomorrow night and Lost had just come off an impressive victory against Jesse Styles' little bitch and a pretty damn good wrestler aside from that, Ray Andrews, the King of Pain. Lost had beat him with a little bit of help from Kronin, but no biggie, all's fair in love and war as they always say.
Back to Virus, he may be rooting for the side that I love, that's doing anything you can to win a match. But, that's not gonna happen when he faces me. He's been sluggish the past weeks and I haven't heard or seen anything from him on the NEW television station. Scared? Maybe. Intimidated? Probably. But he should at least show up like a man and not just hide away until he has to see me, face to face.
He and I are some what a like. We have no union or team. We have no one to help us stay stable and not break down. At least I have Shannon and Malory, but who does he have? Maybe that's why he is so weak? No one loves him and he knows it deep down inside. He won't get the love of the fans either if he keeps losing matches like he is in his current state. Kind of bullshit, he came in with no support, so he was pinned down and held down. He would never get an ally because what did they have to gain from him? Skill? But nothing else. He won the big Two-Ring Ladder match, but hasn't done shit since then.
Skills? I haven't seen much from him. Can he grapple? Can he strike? Or is he just powerful? That's what I expected, he seems shady. It's all a ploy he ends his matches fairly quick so no one can scout out his strengths and weaknesses. He knows mine, but I don't know his.
I've beat talented wrestlers, he hasn't, he one a match with about ten participants, That all comes down to luck when there's that many people. Maybe the best was down because they were being ganged up on and he wasn't. His one impressive victory, all boiled down to the luck of the draw. I've faced Ray Andrews, Roger Wright, and "Sick" Drake Blake.
"I'm confident, especially after last week. I know I can win this match," Lost said aloud to Shannon. "He hasn't done shit compared to me, this is my third run in New Edge. Hell, he has nothing on me, he doesn't mean anything to New Edge. He's going through the meat grinder. They bring in a talent, he sparks, gets viewers. Then you blink and he's gone. It's an old Jesse Styles ploy to get ratings and money. It's smart."
Shannon nods. "Think, you'll be the most prestigious wrestler he's ever faced one on one tomorrow night. You've fought longer, you've trained harder, and you've put your life into this business. It almost ended your life, it lost all your friends and family. Then it took you back in with open arms. You were meant for wrestling and The Virus clearly is not. You have more talent in your right pinky finger than he does in his entire body."
Lost grins in agreement, as he stares back towards Shannon as they are sitting down in his dressing room, getting accustomed to New York. "I really like it here, would've been so much cooler to face off in the Madison Square Garden like the good old days of fighting used to. I know I'm more talented than he is. Wrestling is the only reason I am alive right now. If it wasn't for the sport I don't know where I would be right now. I was always too slow to play basketball, not talented enough for football, and definitely not coordinated enough for baseball. I've wrestled and lifted since high school and ever since I figured out I was good, potentially even great, I took it and ran with it. I ran as far as I could go. It brought me here, to New Edge Wrestling, one of the best damn companies there is on this planet."
"You beat KOP, you can definitely beat him. Go out and do just what you did last week, and you have this in the bag. Honestly The Virus is scared, that's why he hasn't said shit about you yet. He knows he's going toe to toe with a willy veteran and skilled technician. That's all there is to it, I know you tend to have some confidence issues..."
"Not after last week. I just did what I felt I should. I trust myself and I know I'm good enough to win. So stop bringing up the issues I have within myself," Lost gets up and storms out of the room.
He begins to walk down the hallways and passes some familiar faces and some new faces as well. New Edge Wrestling, a place where anybody could get there start or their lucky break. As he continued to stride down the hall way and cool off a bit, he started to think of the imbeciles like the "Iceman" Samuel Sampson and the other bands of idiots that were in NEW also and he started to get worked up again.
Lost turned a corner and ran into the mountain of a man, Shannon Neal. "Look I'm sorry. I'm just trying to help," Shannon said with true concern in his voice.
"I know, buddy. I know. You know my temper and I get worked up when I get targeted, or at least feel like I'm getting targeted. It was me bro. I'm stressed, I'm still getting back into the swing of things and it's gonna take some getting used to."
"Okay, I was worried that you were going to be mad, but I should have known about your temper too. Look, all I was trying to say was I know you can beat him and there's finally been a cure found for The Virus. It may sound cheesy, but it's true. The others weakened him, now you just need to finish him off and expel him from our body, and that body is New Edge Wrestling. Defeat him and then spit him out, his time is over."
"Yeah, I gotcha' Shan. I was thinking the same thing, there's a cure for The Virus coming through and it will end him."
OOC: Sorry for the shitty, half assed work. Still a lot of school work and shit going on and then once Spring Break started I just totally spaced it and lost track of time. Should be much better for the PPV guys.
