The run down apartment in the shady part of Chicago is where Lost in Time, Shannon, and Malory are talking . Why does he still live here? He's making the big bucks and still hasn't upgraded, but it's fine for the moment. Shannon is wearing his typical wife beater and has his lime green Nike Air Max's on the coffee table as they spoke casually. Lost was dressed in a red Tapout T-shirt and some jeans. Malory was looking stunning as usual in a very revealing, bright crimson dress and some high heels.
The old apartment looks as usual. The wallpaper is peeling off and a dirty brown color. The linoleum floor in the kitchen has spots that are chipped and you can see the concrete board underneath of it. The kitchen walls are an ugly lemon color and the living room's "carpet" doesn't look much like carpet at all. He still lives in this shithole because, it humbles him as a sort. To show him that it could all be taken away in the blink of an eye as it had been done before, and he would HAVE to live in these conditions, he wouldn't have the option.
"It's really great of Jesse to give you a match against Shane Sparx. I mean it's another easy win and another tune-up match. I mean, sure he was successful, but that was the past and he's going to get destroyed this week like you did to KOP, The Virus, Molly, and several other opponents."
Lost smirks slightly, knowing that he should never underestimate Sparx. He was at full health, Molly had barely even laid a finger on him in his thorough beating of her at Kamikaze in the Chained at the Wrist match. Which they thought she would be used to after all her time in the clink.
"Yeah. it is really great of him. Probably a little ploy of his to get my confidence up and then tear it right back down. You know how Jesse is... But, I guess you never know maybe he is giving me some talent that he thinks will actually challenge me."
"This Sunday you'll be ready, regardless of what Jesse is doing, and you'll have a fourth win in a row in your pocket."
I nod towards Shannon in approval and then smile at Malory as she smiles back at me. She definitely has confidence in me and knows that I'm, doing what I love. I'm a lucky man, I'm rich, I'm famous, I have a beautiful woman who has stuck with me even though I've been a dick to her quite often. We met at World War X in Germany and she came home with me. I'm living the life, you could say.
"Definitely Shannon, it sounds great to me, I plan to be in contention for one of those belts by Justice."
Malory nods as a grin at her. She then speaks in her high-pitched, slightly whiny voice.
"I think you will get yours. You will be getting a shot at Justice if you keep doing what you're doing."
"Lost, I gotta go," Shannon speaks up in his deep tone of voice. "Gotta go make sure everything's ready for us at the arena."
Now it was just beautiful Malory and Lost left in the shitty apartment. He felt lucky at this moment, he usually didn't let this feeling show because he's serious and all about business most of the time. Malory never really felt appreciated by him, why should she? He usually treated her like shit and like a typical trophy. Lost had to force himself to push this feeling back, as he never really showed much emotion. Malory noticed how Lost was looking at her and flashed him, her pearly whites. Making the feeling raise up in him again. Once again though he pushed it away.
"So what do you think of Shane Spark, honestly?" Lost asked Malory to put a yield to the awkwardness he was feeling.
"I think he's very talented, obviously. He's a two time NEW Heavyweight Champ, a Tag Team Champ, much like yourself and he's held many other belts also. It's not all about the belts though, I don't know much about wrestling, but I have confidence that you will beat him, honey."
Lost just looked at her with a tranquil look. It was nice to not be so...uptight and to actually have a conversation with her. She does know what she's talking about and he could actually talk to her and not just use her for sex and confidence with a good looking woman around him. It was great and a sensation ran through his body.
"Thanks. Shannon usually says he thinks I'll win to give me a morale boost. I know you'd never lie to me and it's your genuine opinion."
"Yeah, it's nice to actually be alone, just the two of us, without Shannon here for once. In my honest opinion I am sticking with the fact that you will come out victorious and on top."
She follows up her words with her cute little smile, knowing this situation and their surroundings won't happen often. She knows being a wrestler takes a lot of time away from those you love and spending time with Lost doesn't come often. It's great, even if it's just for a little while.
"Sounds great! I think I will beat him too. His fascination with Pikachu isn't really an intimidation factor either."
Malory giggles at this statement. It's true though, Pikachu isn't exactly the epitome of intimidation or striking fear. He's a cartoon character for god's sake and he's all apart of our child hood's, which makes him even less intimidating.
"He's definitely not intimidating. He might even be more of a relaxant and a nerve calmer before your match if you just think about Shane Sparx and Pikachu. He'll probably be playing his Nintendo DS moments before he walks out there for your match," Malory says with a laugh.
Lost's feelings go from relaxed to even more nervous, as she brings up talk about moments before his match. He's always nervous minutes before he walk out onto that ramp, any great athlete has nerves, regardless of the situation. Lost knew the tingling sensation in my stomach would come up some time tomorrow night anyways. Thinking about Pikachu though, it does calm me down again.
"This is the biggest match of my life. Hell, every match is the biggest match of my life. I could go out there and snap my neck, I could do horrible and get fired, or I could go out there and have another huge victory. I'll be damned if Sparx beats me, when all he's focused on before our match is his Nintendo DS and Pokémon!"
The mood in the room changes from very loose and finally they had made a connection, to Lost being his usual self and you can feel the tension. Malory doesn't say a word as he continues to vent his feelings.
"Damn! He doesn't even care. I tore my fuckin' ACL, went through drug and alcohol addictions, lost everybody in my life who I cared about. All to be here. What has he gone through? Hell my family still doesn't talk to me, all I have in life is Shannon, you, and wrestling. I don't give a shit about little video games. I just gotta make money to give you and I a better life. All he's doing is getting money for more luxuries and he's already successful. I need to get out of this dump and out of this spot in my life!"
Malory gets out of her chair and gets onto the couch with Lost. "It's alright. You're doing great and you're already providing a better life for us. Shit happens and there will always be negatives. I'm sure Shane hasn't had the perfect life either. Nobody has. Hell, you know Shannon was in prison for a while. I've never had any drastic things happen to me, but I still have negatives in life. Just calm down and focus on your match."
"I'm just afraid if I'm calm, he'll get an advantage. I'm gonna go out there angry and frustrated, this will be the worse beating anyone has had since my return. Don't think I'm overlooking Shane or anything. I know his abilities, I know his maneuvers, and most of all I know his gay ass little Pokémon too. This will be the worst beating of your life, Shane. It's all coming from one man, and one man only. By the end of our battle, Shane, you will be Lost in Time!"
