Jill Matthews: Ladies and Gentlemen Ignite 208 is here in the NEW Arena where tonight in our main event we get to see two of the Terrordome Participants Tristan Ambrose and Al Envy get it on. THat and so much more here within the next hour. But first we need to address the big situation that happened earlier today with NEW World Heavyweight Champion Austen Impact.
Vince Walters: By now you've all heard the chilling news regarding Austen Impact. While we still do not know the extent of his injuries, or exactly what happened, it appears as though we have eyewitness footage of the accident. A topographical cameraman happened to be flying over head catching images of the landscape, and captured everything. The footage is very graphic and if you are faint of heart we do not recommend you watch this.
The camera pans over the California shore, following the Pacific Coast Highway as we see a motorcycle speed down the empty, winding road. It’s clear that the motorcycle is going at an alarmingly high speed and is knifing through the turns quite well, but occasionally drifting into the other lane. The camera begins zooming, tracking this crazed driver, when it becomes clear that it is none other than Austen Impact.
Austen cuts through the trafficless stretch of highway, occasionally passing by a car, clearly something is on his mind, weighing him down. He gives the throttle a pull and tears off even faster. Up ahead the bright lights of a big rig come into view as Austen shifts into the other lane, going head on with the semi. He speeds up even more as the Semi blares its horn, trying to slow down, but cannot maneuver the truck well enough. At the last possible moment Austen jerks the handle bars, and the bike dives away, but the back tire kicks out, sending Austen rolling and tumbling into the guard rail. The semi driver jumps out and sprints over to him, but Austen isn’t moving. He quickly calls 9-1-1.
“Yes, I need an ambulance right away.” The panicked voice of the truck driver yells into the phone, he gives the dispatcher the location and within minutes police arrive at the scene, followed shortly after by an ambulance.
“What happened?” One officer asked the driver, as the paramedics untangle Austen from the guard rail, and carefully place him on a stretcher.
“I was coming down the road here, and this guy, he was in my lane, I honked and slowed trying to get his attention and he wouldn’t move. I couldn’t get my truck maneuvered over, finally right as I was about to hit him he jerked away, but the bike went down and he went flying.”
The officers take the statement and the paramedics load Austen into the ambulance, hooked up to IV’s and machines to monitor his vitals and make sure he makes it to the hospital. The ambulance takes off down the road, the Camera chasing behind. They drive several miles before pulling up in front of a small hospital. Quickly nurses run out, assisting in unloading Austen, and rushing him into the trauma center. The camera tries to follow, but is quickly stopped at the door. The last shot is of nurses running Austen down the hall as the doors close, obstructing the view.
Jill Matthews: That is just unnerving. I can't imagine what was going through his mind. Perhaps there are more demons with Austen than even NEW Officials knew about.
Vince Walters: It's hard to say, lets just hope he makes a speedy recovery.
Jill Matthews: And now you have to ask the question. If Impact makes a recovery will he be able to defend the NEW title inside Terrordome at Justice 7. I know right now his health and well being after what we just saw is more important but still you have to ask the question.
Vince Walters: Our thoughts and prayers go out to Austen. Hope you get better champ…
